Robert Southey (12 August - 21 March ) was an English poet of the Romantic school, 1 of the Lake Poets, and Poet Laureate for 30 years. Southey, Robert was the son of an unsuccessful linen-draper in Bristol, where he was born. He was sent to Westminster School, and in went to Oxford.
